About
Jenna Korim
I have 15 years of experience in mental health therapy. My Bachelors in Psychology was obtained from SUNY Binghamton in 2007 and I received my Masters in Social Work from SUNY Albany in 2009. I am an LCSWR (Licensed Clinician Social Worker, 2011) and PMHC (Perinatal Mental Health Certified, 2022). I am continullay learning through personal reading and training in Polyvagal Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Committment Therapy, and Internal Family Systems.

I use mixed modalities in how I approach life experiences that clients bring to session. My approaches blend education, an understanding of the mind-body relationship, evaluating behavior and thoughts that might not be supportive, and exploring attachment dynamics in relationships. A blend of top down (brain to body) and bottom up (body to brain) is important in my approach.

In my personal life, I am an endurance athlete who loves to challenge physical limits. I love learning through travel, adventure, connection, and books! I am also a parent and have had my own journey that made me realize that the perinatal population is unique and underserved.
