I help moms (or hope to be moms) who are struggling with anxiety, self-criticism, identity shifts, and the emotional weight of this season. Trying to conceive, pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood can bring more than joy.

You're "holding it together" while internally feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or guilty.

When you're overwhelmed, triggered, anxious, or shutting down, it's not just in your head. Learn how your nervous system responds to stress in motherhood and relationships—and what you can do to support yourself in the moment.

Hiking Trail

Individual counseling with me may be for you if:

  • You’ve spent so much of your life being hard on yourself — pushing your needs aside, battling guilt, and feeling stuck in cycles of never being ‘enough.'

  • Parenthood often magnifies this pressure, leaving you exhausted and questioning if you’re doing it right.

  • Motherhood and postpartum often stir up complicated feelings about our bodies, self-worth, and identity, and you deserve support in creating a relationship with yourself that feels nourishing, compassionate, and sustainable.

  • You just can't seem to settle, in your brain and/or body

  • Fear, worry, low motivation and/or going through the motions are keeping you from feeling present

  • You want to understand your patterns and behaviors in relationships with others and/or yourself

Since mental health is not the only aspect of overall health, I believe it is important to look at the whole picture, which also includes nutrition, movement, social, cultrual, and spiritual health.  If needs arise that are beyond how I can support, I work to connect you with providers who can.

*Sessions are conducted both in person and online (NYS ONLY), although in person options are limited*

Embarking on the journey to and through parenthood comes with challenges that can often feel isolating and lonely.  Therapy with a mental health professional can help process the below major life experiences and transitions.

  • preparing for pregnancy

  • navigating infertility

  •  pregnancy loss in any trimester

  • early postpartum loss

  • pregnancy that did not go as planned

  • pregnancy after loss

  • birth experience that did not go as planned

  • finding the adjustment to pregnancy/postpartum life difficult

  • navigating shift and change with your partner

Non-birthing partners are also impacted by the above experiences and are served in my practice too.
