In fact, anxiety, when kept at manageable levels, is an inevitable, necessary and even beneficial response to important events, which motivates us to mobilize and prepare accordingly. However, experiencing debilitating levels of anxiety impedes our ability to show up as our best selves. Ultimately, by fearing failure and the potential of a negative outcome, we actually undermine our performance by subconsciously behaving in ways that manifest our biggest fear and undesired outcome.
